Antique French Provincial in Old White (SOLD)

It doesn't get more classic than this.

It's been a while since I had a french provincial piece in my workshop, so I was beyond thrilled to score this beauty a few weeks ago.  I've had a long list of custom work to take care of first, though… so it sat there.  Calling my name.  :-)  Finally, I had the chance to work on it last week and WOW.  It is just as gorgeous as I'd hoped it would be.

I'm going to let the photos do the talking here.  Basic details - Nine dovetailed drawers, gorgeous original hardware, made by Drexel Furniture and from the 1960's.  Swoonworthy french legs.  Classic french finish - distressed in Old White.  There is absolutely nothing not to love about this piece.  Use it in your foyer, use it in your family room, use it in your dining room or bedroom or even in your kitchen.  It. Is.  GORGEOUS.  :-)  71'' x 35'' x 21'' - $695 (SOLD).

If you want this piece for your home, please send me an email at shabbychic011@gmail.com, and I'll respond quickly.  :-)  Thanks!

Midcentury Mod Buffet in Graphite (SOLD)

LOVE.

I am so into midcentury furniture right now, and it seems that the rest of the world is too.  I see it in every decorating magazine, and it's all the rage at Restoration Hardware and West Elm and even Pottery Barn.  The sleekness of midcentury furniture has absolutely made a comeback - and this piece embodies everything that is AWESOME about the style.

The sleek and simple lines, the minimal distressing, the dark color with bright gold hardware.  Every little bit of this piece is stunning.

The three dovetailed drawers offer lots of storage space (and open and close with ease), while two doors hide open shelf storage.  Perfect for storing even the largest of serving platters.

I've painted this midcentury looker in Graphite, with very minimal distressing and a dark wax glaze.  It's even more lovely in person if you can believe it.  :-)  60'' x 30'' x 18'' - $560 (SOLD).  Be sure to email me at shabbychic011@gmail.com if you have the perfect spot for this beauty in your home!

Antique Bowfront Dresser/Buffet (SOLD)

Such a classic beauty.

I love the curves of a bow front piece.  It's so graceful.  I wanted to emphasize the curves on this one, so I distressed it very little - only along the edges.  The end result is gorgeous.

All eight drawers are dovetailed and work well - the graduated size makes them perfect for holding anything from small items to bulky sweaters (or larger serving pieces if used as a buffet).  The brass hardware is original and pops so beautifully against the dark paint.

Painted in Graphite with distressing and clear wax, this lovely piece of furniture would be so lovely in any bedroom.  Or any dining room.  Or in any foyer or family room.  Take your pick.  :-)  54'' x 35'' x 20'' - $595 (SOLD).

If you'd like to purchase this piece, please email me at shabbychic011@gmail.com - thanks!  :-)

Antique Dresser/Buffet in Blue (SOLD)

Love, love and LOVE.

Aren't the details on this one so sweet?  I love the tortoise shell design on the middle drawer front and the pretty swirls on the bottom and the gorgeous legs.  So great.

This is such a classic dresser in so many ways.  From the 1930's design to the hardware to the legs to the spacious drawers - it's made to be beautiful and useful at the same time.  Not to mention sturdy - the solid wood construction and dovetailing of the drawers ensures that it'll continue to stand the test of time.

I've painted this sweetie in Aubusson Blue, which is a color I've never tried before but will DEFINITELY be using again.  It's a gorgeous, rich, sophisticated color - and combined with brass hardware it's just stunning.

The size of this piece makes it a great choice for lots of different uses.  It could be a lovely dresser in any bedroom, or even double as a changing table in a nursery.  It could be a beautiful buffet in a dining room.  It could even grace your foyer or your family room.  Endless possibilities.  It measures 48'' long x 35'' tall x 20'' deep and is priced at $490 (SOLD).

Please send an email to shabbychic011@gmail.com if you'd like to purchase this piece!  Thanks!  :-)

Midcentury Mod side tables in Graphite (SOLD)

Midcentury modern furniture.  I love everything about it.

These side tables are so sleek and simple and yet so gorgeous.  I think that's what I love most about this style of furniture - the understated beauty.  Simplicity can be so beautiful!

I love that these tables don't have any hardware - just smooth hidden pulls that open the dovetailed drawer and bottom cabinet with ease. There's so much storage space in these tables.

I've painted these solid wood vintage tables in Graphite with minimal distressing and clear wax for protection.  They are in excellent condition and will last forever!  Measurements are 16'' x 15'' x 27 1/2'', which means they are slightly taller than the average side table (and the perfect companion to a taller bed or sofa).  $400 for the pair (SOLD), which is less than you'd pay for just ONE midcentury side table at West Elm or Restoration Hardware.  And unlike those tables, these beauties are vintage and have already proven they will stand the test of time.  :-)

If you'd like to purchase these tables, please email me at shabbychic011@gmail.com - thanks!  Also - be sure to like my Facebook page, Atlanta Shabby Chic.  I always list pieces there first, and often pieces sell so quickly there that I don't even get a chance to post them here!  If you want to be sure you see ALL pieces I complete, that's the best way to do it.  :-)  Thanks guys!

Antique dresser in red (SOLD)

Swoon.

I absolutely love this one.  Everything about it.  Love.  Love love love.

Did I mention I love it?  ;-)

It's just so sweet.  And so red.  And so farmhouse-y.  In a really good way.

I have been dying to try out Miss Mustard Seed's Tricycle Red milk paint ever since I saw it on a gorgeous old empire chest on Pinterest.  I even bought an empire chest to paint this color, but I had a client purchase it as a custom piece before I got started, and that one ended up blue.  No prob, it was gorgeous in blue… but…. that tricycle red milk paint was still calling my name.  When I saw this antique farmhouse dresser listed for sale, I KNEW it was the one meant to be red.  And it is totally a match made in heaven.

This is such a southern piece.  Full of southern charm and sophistication.  I love the legs and the porcelain knobs and the color and the whole gorgeous thing.  It just works.

I'll try to stop swooning for a second to give you the details.  :-)  This beauty is solid wood, with five dovetailed drawers that work perfectly.  I've painted it in MMS tricycle red with a distressed finish and clear wax, and I've given it lovely porcelain knobs to complete the look.  Measurements are 54 1/2'' long x 34 1/2'' tall x 25'' deep, and it's priced at $520 (SOLD).

Do you have a room that needs this awesome pop of color?  Send me an email at shabbychic011@gmail.com to make it yours!  Be quick too, please…. because I'm contemplating putting this sweetie in my foyer.  :-)

Antique Cherry Dresser/Buffet (SOLD)

This piece is such a classic.

From the style to the pulls to the color - everything about this solid cherry antique is classic.  Traditional.  Solid.  Gorgeous.  :-)

It's one of those pieces you could use anywhere.  Need a great storage piece in your foyer?  This one would be lovely.  Looking for a piece to place under a wall-mounted flatscreen (or something to set one on)?  This would fit the bill and give you great family room storage at the same time.  Want an awesome custom buffet?  This one will get compliments at your dinner parties.  And of course - it would be an awesome dresser in any bedroom.  Or even in a masculine nursery doubling as a changing table.  Seriously - anywhere.  This piece is versatile.

Made by J.B. VanSevier Co, this solid cherry beauty has nine spacious and spotless dovetailed drawers.  They all work perfectly and have gorgeous classic brass hardware.

I've painted it in Graphite with a distressed finish and clear wax, which suits the classic style perfectly.  It's traditional and modern all at the same time.  Measurements are 60'' long x 33'' tall x 20'' deep and it's priced at $560 (SOLD).

If you're interested in purchasing this piece, please email me at shabbychic011@gmail.com - thanks!
