Vintage Dresser/Buffet in Cream (SOLD)

Occasionally I come across a piece that is so solid, so lovely, so well-constructed that I don't even mind the fact that it took me a full hour to load it into our truck by myself (my husband was at work and I was impatient to get it home - can you blame me?).

This is one of those pieces.

 I could see working beautifully in so many different spaces.  Picture it in a master bedroom (pretty, right?).  Picture it as a dining room buffet (stunning, yes?).  Picture it in a family room with a tv on top or wall mounted above it (gorgeous, huh?).  I agree.  Multi-functional furniture at it's best.  :-)

Add in the fact that it has a full nine drawers (storage GALORE) and is beautifully constructed, made of solid wood with dovetailed drawers … and you definitely have a winner.

Isn't the detailing on the drawer fronts and door beautiful?  I love the way the light distressing highlights it.

I also love love love the hardware.

I've painted this lovely vintage piece in a deep cream with a distressed finish and clear wax for protection.  Measurements are 74'' long x 31'' tall x 19'' deep and it's priced at $400 (SOLD).

Antique dresser in Old White (SOLD)

I absolutely love this piece.

The simple lines, the drawer details, the legs….. I love it all. 

Also, the glass knobs.  Don't they fit it perfectly? 

All of the drawers in this beauty are dovetailed and work perfectly. 

I think this piece would be lovely as a dresser in any bedroom, but would also be a great dining room buffet.  And it's the perfect height to be used as a changing table in a nursery.  :-)  Or maybe in a family room with a flatscreen on top?

I've painted this piece in Old White with a distressed finish and clear wax for protection.  I've also added antiqued glass knobs.  Measurements are 50'' long x 35 1/2'' tall x 22'' deep and it's priced at $350 (SOLD).

Antique little girl's dresser (SOLD)

So.  Sweet. 

If you're in the market for a dresser for a little girl… look no further.  Is this not one of the cutest dressers you've ever seen?  The detailing, the sweet carved bows on the drawer fronts, the awesome original hardware.  Fit for a little princess.

Another look at that hardware.  I just love it.

If I didn't already have dressers for my daughters this sweet thing would already be upstairs in one of their rooms.  In fact, I was pretty set on keeping it and selling one of their current dressers… but my husband talked me down.  :-)

Poor guy has to talk reason into me a lot.  I want to keep every other piece I paint. 

 It's a sickness.  

But can you blame me?  

This adorable dresser is a true antique and has an AWESOME wood back on it.  Old school all the way.  :-)  It's solid wood, all drawers are dovetailed and work well, and it's in great shape for its age.  I've painted it in Old White with a distressed finish and clear wax for protection.  It measures 39 1/2'' long x 32'' tall x 19'' deep and it's priced at $250 (SOLD).
