Okay, folks - for those of you who've been asking for another Old White piece ..... this one's for you! :-) I found this old beauty at an estate sale.... it's large, it's sturdy, it's got gorgeous lines.... I knew it had to be mine. After a very tricky maneuver down a curvy flight of stairs (God bless my husband), we loaded it up and brought it home. I am so pleased with how it turned out - I think the light color and distressing suit it beautifully.
This piece is by Century Furniture, and is SO solid - the drawers are dovetailed and slide in and out like a dream. Tons of storage space - three drawers on each side and three more hidden behind the double doors.
Yet again - I am in love with the hardware. :-)
I also love all of the detail - distressing makes it stand out so beautifully.
I've painted this piece in Old White, distressed it, and given it two coats of clear wax for protection. I think it would be lovely in a bedroom as a dresser, but could also be used as a foyer piece or a buffet/sideboard in a dining room. Measurements are 74'' long x 33'' tall x 18 1/2'' deep, and it's priced at $525 (SOLD).
