Vintage Maple Dresser (SOLD)

I was thrilled to find this sweet solid maple chest a few weekends ago.  It's got awesome lines, great pulls, and an amazing grouping of maple leaves on the front of the bottom drawer.  I fell in love with it right away and knew it would be perfect for a nursery or child's bedroom.

Don't you agree? So simple and sweet.

I've had a lot of luck recently finding pieces that are slightly taller than the average dresser, which makes them a great choice as a changing table.  This one is on the tall side too - 34 1/2''.  That would work for anyone as a changing table - even a tall mama like myself.  :-)

I love the curve to the top drawers.

And the sweet detailing at the feet.

Also love the pulls on the sides of the dresser.  It's a great detail, and just so happens to make this heavy piece a lot easier to carry.  ;-)

As we all know ...  I'm a hardware girl.  :-)  I LOVE a piece with good hardware.  And this hardware is great - solid maple and so easy to use.  I've painted and distressed it to match.

All four drawers are dovetailed, and work like a dream.  This piece was made by Virginia House and is maple all the way.

The best part about this piece?  Definitely the maple leaves on the bottom drawer.  So unique.

I've painted this dresser in Duck Egg Blue, and given it a distressed finish.  Clear wax finishes the look and provides protection. It measures 43'' long x 34 1/2'' tall x 20 1/2'' wide, and is priced at $360 (SOLD).
