Ethan Allen dresser in Old White (SOLD)

I really like this one, you guys.  :-)

I saw this piece at a local shop recently and thought it would be a real beauty in Old White... and I think I was right!

I was even more excited about this piece when I opened the top drawer and saw the "Kling" markings and the Ethan Allen paperwork.  You really can't beat the craftsmanship of an Ethan Allen piece - it's so well made, and will definitely stand the test of time.

This five drawer dresser has ample storage space, and all drawers are dovetailed.  They slide in and out with ease.

Aren't the original wooden knobs cool?  I've painted and distressed them to match.

I also love the detailing along the bottom and the shape of the feet.  Lots of character.

This is the kind of piece that would work so well in a nursery as a changing table - and with it being slightly taller than your average dresser, it would work for even you tall mamas out there.  :-)  It would also be gorgeous as an entryway piece, in any bedroom.... or even in a living room to hold a flatscreen tv.  I've painted it in Old White, with a distressed finish and clear wax for protection. This vintage piece measures 40'' long x 35 1/2'' tall x 19'' deep and is priced at $395 (SOLD).

Old Violet Chest (SOLD)

Hi folks!

It's rare that I come across two identical chests, several months apart.... but I lucked out a couple of weeks ago and found an awesome bow-front mahogany chest that is an exact copy of the one I painted in Old Violet this past February.  I've had so many folks reach out and ask for a piece just like that one in Old Violet.... so this one is for you guys!  :-)

This lovely vintage blue color, with just a hint of purple is SO awesome.  It really is one of my all-time favorite colors.  When you add dark wax, it becomes a gorgeous gray/blue.  It has such depth and I find it to be one of the most interesting of the Annie Sloan chalk paint colors.  It's definitely not what you expect from the name Old Violet.

The classic lines of an antique bow front chest are perfect for a color like this one.  I love the detailing on this piece - also love the original pulls.

All of the dovetailed drawers work perfectly, and are quite deep to provide lots of storage space.  One of the drawers has an interior divider.  I've given it two coats of the Old Violet paint, distressed it, and coated it with both clear and dark wax.  It measures 47'' tall x 37'' long x 19 1/2'' deep and is priced at $460 (SOLD).
