Antique chest in pale yellow (SOLD)

Springtime.  I love it.  After months of gray and cold (or, if you're here in Atlanta, gray mixed with not-as-gray and cool mixed with somewhat-warm) .... I'm always so happy when spring arrives.  I'm ready for warmth and sunshine and COLOR!  :-)  And there's not a color out there that says spring to me more than yellow.  Especially a soft, buttery yellow like this one.

Yellow is such a happy color, don't you think?  :-)

I love this sweet dresser/chest - I love the size, and how it would work well in so many places.  It would be great as a dresser/changing table in a nursery.  It would be gorgeous with a tv on top in a family room.   And it would be lovely in a kitchen, or dining room, or foyer, or bedroom.  Or sun porch!

Isn't the vintage hardware great?

And the detailing at the bottom....

Can you tell I really like this one?  :-)  I've been trying to figure out where I could use it in my own house.  Alas... my husband has made me promise I'll stop trying to keep each piece I paint.  :) Ah well.  You can't blame a girl for trying.

I've painted this piece in a custom mix of Arles and Old White chalk paint, and the result is a lovely buttery yellow.  Seriously folks - it's an awesome color.  It's even better in person, I think.  Measurements are 42'' long x 35 1/2'' tall x 20'' deep and it's priced at $325 (SOLD).
